Like Javelin said, you can get it all wired beforehand but I believe there is a downside to that.

If you have everything wired up ready beforehand and then plug in only to find a short or something has gone wrong, you may very well spend a lot of time (and possibly money) looking for that fault and trying to fix it.

Where as if you wait and get your DCC system then wire things up bit by bit and test it as you go along, then you'll uncover any faults or issues and eliminate them as you go along ^_^

This depends of course how complex your layout is. Hope that helps! ;)

I had HortonRoadTMD send me some pictures of how he does them. I will see if I can find them and PM you them.

Hi 60054SIMON60011

Answer 1; yes... you can carry on wiring without the Dynamis, are you planning to run your points from the Dynamis...? although this shouldn’t stop you doing the initial wiring as you normally would...

Answer 2; What I do know is... if it’s a track siding that is coming off to a buffer stop / dead end... then you don’t need any Plastic fishplates on the Point itself, if you have a Track Point coming off and then joins back on to the same line or Track, further up the line then you only need to have a Plastic fishplates at the one end (Track Point) and not on both Points as this will Isolated the track, hence only fit to one Point... to keep it live...

Hope this helps

Jamie
