I have a full templot plan for Ranelagh bridge here's some of it set out on my living room floor. This will save a lot of time as I can build the boards to suit the track plan

Wagons,

post-779-0-00748600-1390648871_thumb.jpg

First up is a Dapol 7 Plank which end would be used for ash removal, the weathering was done by my friend Pete Waterman,

Next up is a tool van, there was a tool van parked up by the water tower on Ranelagh bridge quite often this was built by Michelle Davidson from a WEP kit,

Now we have a gas cordon again built by Michelle,

Next up will be a GWR gas oil tanker a later version of the cordon above, seen here on Ranelagh bridge! this is being scratch built at the moment by Michelle and the wagon will be used as a proof for a new kit from JLTRT.

Lastly for the moment is a GWR bullion van,

These were used for the carriage of gold between Paddington, Plymouth and the mint at Birmingham. Hopefully this will also become available from JLTRT.

All of the wagons above could be seen on Ranelagh bridge and will allow a nice bit of shunting and will make a change from just light engine movements.

Thanks

I've collected some more templot plans today from a friend at the Bristol o gauge show these have all of the track detail sections including all sleeper spacing etc so the track can be built exactly as the plan states.

The magnificent 15XX pannier in front of westbourne bridge signal box, I've commissioned Laser craft Devon to do this as a kit in laser cut MDF.

Evening Star,

And again the Severn mill plates. 92220 Evening Star was a Cardiff Canton engine and was used for a month on the Red Dragon and returning Capitols United Express in June 1961 the loco rostered for this express would be serviced at Ranelagh Bridge.

They were but whether by accident of design the loco booked to work the 10am departure was failed and Evening star was put in its place. The driver was surprised by how well she performed and all the other drivers based at Cardiff wanted a turn even the shed Forman had a turn. Once the control found out about her exploits she was band from express service however the 9F's were used on the heavily graded Somerset & Dorset line in the summer evening star being one of the locos temporarily loaned to bath green park shed for those services.

The 9Fs were regularly reaching speeds of 80 + MPH.

34064 fighter command seen here speeding through Leamington spa on a special service from Paddington. She was unique in having been fitted with a Geisel oblong ejector.

The specially commissioned plates for her.
