Hi all

Finally got the whole board temporally together after much where  is the picture from Stretch  here it is the next picture.

There is a 1 M steel rule sitting on the solid part of the board so you can get some idea of its total size.

YAY!! found and now have some TM-TR2 motors so now have to choose which two locomotives to motorize.

Does any one have suggestions for the best way to store the for spare motors so they work when In the future I need them, as I assume at some point in the future they will be needed.

Now I have to take it apart to paint the legs on the other boards and add anything that got forgotten in the original construction

Hi all

Did not feel enthusiastic today so did a real easy job fitting a motor to a second Japanese locomotive

Had to drill holes for steps which ended up super glued on as my smallest drill was to big but it looks OK

It's to late now but I should have painted the step edge white like I did the last one, now the tough decision do I motorize the other blue one or another one of these

Hi All

Having a bit of a break from a major domestic clean up which is why not much is happening layout wise.

I have prepared a wagon for a tarpaulin simply two pieces of 1mm plasticard and a bit of rod from the bits box

The tarp is painted freezer bag that will be cut and fitted tomorrow when I am sure the glue is dry...

This is one of the wagons I broke and had to repair so the tarp support is strengthening the wagon and tarp hiding the sides,

so it becomes wagon no Erhm?? instead of wagon no2 for the umpteenth time.

John, it looks ok mate, since when does a tarp on a wagon look neat and tidy, err never, you've done a great job there.

Hi all

Not much has happened on the layout have been a bit distracted by a major domestic clear out it's amazing the amount of carp you collect over the years.

It has also been cold not really shed weather so another distraction is this,

garden.jpg

an approx 40cm X 50cm mini layout its just an 009 Jouef train set oval with two sidings but its warm in the house:D

Hi all

Well since I mentioned the Winter distraction.

Here are a couple of pictures.

layout front.jpg

layout left.jpg

Like I said it isn't much but then you can't fit a lot on a 40cm X 50cm board it does work but needs a couple of IRJ's put in the two sidings to isolate them as they are not self isolating points.

Hopefully get the pole finished and planted in the next day or so.

scenery is just happening as it takes my fancy with no real idea's I have never built something this small.

A house flat will eventually end up being put on the corner next to the veggie patch which will have the switches and diagram mounted on the back of it

Hi all

Two narrow gauge rail cars arrived for the real layout last week these have been motorized and tested

IMG_8153 railcars.jpg

Exit yellow tree on winter distraction the front basket on the brown rail car got it.

OOP's clearances to tight.

The winter distraction has proved useful for testing stuff and trying different things out.

If a train gets round it it will get round any sensible curve not sure what radius the Jouef 009 / HOe curves are but they are very tight a lot less than the more usual absolute minimum 9" radius used in those scale gauge combinations.

It is now well and truly wired so much wire such a tiny layout running wire should be finished tonight or tomorrow
