just found this site looks good model in 00 and building a hertage line losely based on the peterborugh end of the nene valley railway which is being buillt on a iron board with a 4 foot fiddle yard will post some pictures soon

On an ironing board? That sounds natty, one assume it then folds up and can be put out of the way. If the idea works... I suspect their might be a few more people looking into this idea. Has anyone else come across ingenious ways to have their layout on display?

I'm assuming your not planning on the turntable being operational!!! Sorry... could not resist... the idea of locos coming into a turntable then zooming off in various directions as they fly off into mid air came to mind... a bit like a clay pigeon shooter .......

no no I got it... hat coat... departs at speed.........

 

Seriously though, will look forward to this progressing, very novel idea.And I love the Nene Valley railway so a wonder place to take inspiration from.
